I am pretty pumped about my first Iowa event! I got to meet Dorothia Rohner and Lisa Morlock, and a host of other fabulous folks! I learned so much my brain almost hurt - and LOVE how all SCBWI events do that! Needless to say, I am FAR more exuberant and passionate about illustrating again (after many months off) than I thought I would be. What an exciting and fired-up bunch of folks!

We Skyped with Steven Meltzer, Associate Publisher/ Executive Managing Editor, PYR Penguin Random House, and heard the totally fabulous Claire Celsi, a Marketing and Communications consultant, and then Jenny Moyer, the #1 Flashfall (!) author & Co-owner of Luminary Creative. WHAT A DAY!

Oh, and my website actually WON Claire's 'best' contest! I do still need a few improvements, however :)
